How Sweet The Sound

2011 POA (unregistered) Chestnut Snowflake Mare 14.3 hands

Illini Mr Macho X Red Paradice (True Para Dice)

Grace is an over-sized POA with looks, brains, conformation, color and is full of talent. Pictures and video do not do her justice. She loves to sort and work cows, has extensive Ranch Riding training and has been used for multiple events. She has been shown successfully in Halter, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Walk-Trot, Western Pleasure, Trail, Ranch Riding, and Reining. She is always in the ribbons and money and leaving horses in the ring. She has competed, and won, in Donkey Sorting and schooled on Cattle.

She has carried a flag in parade, Rodeo Grand Entry, and done fast lap with the flag. She has been started on Barrels and Poles, and with a lariat for roping. Grace has been trail rode and does not refuse anything. However, she is not being sold as a trail horse as that is her least favorite thing to do, but will do it if need be. She has been trained to the level that she would be an excellent horse for Cowboy Dressage and has the looks to go with it. Grace is a working fool and gets bored easily. She has more go than whoa, but does have an excellent stop.

She is not for an inexperienced rider as she has a lot of buttons and willingly responds when asked. She does take a rider with a good handle on a horse just to keep her between the leg and the hand, but will do so when asked. She is extremely easy to handle from the ground. She ties, loads, clips, bathes (all things my 10 year old can do by himself with her). She stands for the vet and farrier. Grace has been used in our Lesson and Ministry programs for lower level riders and does well with them, but she would much rather have a higher-impact job.

She has excellent conformation and good sound feet that require shoes only if being rode on a lot of rock. She has no major vices such as, cribbing, weaving, kicking, biting, bucking or such. Her worst is she will paw when impatient, but not excessively. She can be slightly buddy sour, but that comes more from she loves to be the in the middle of everything. Her biggest draw back is she does not ride out alone well. When introducing horses to the herd she is the one they get turned out with because she knows no stranger. She is top in the pecking order, but she is not nasty about it in anyway and keeps the peace in the herd. This is a horse that will be a handy one to have around and will also be a great addition to the broodmare band to raise up the next generation. On site lease or lease to an approved training barn possible.
